The field strength detector VK-TD-287 is used to detect the field strength of the medium voltage network. The device is used to protect people working near the electrical network, the device gives a warning signal to the user when the worker is in dangerous proximity to the voltage. The device's signal warns the user that he may be injured if he approaches the device any further, or that the worker may suffer an electric shock.

When approaching the medium voltage network with the VK-TD-287 field strength detector, the sensor automatically detects the electric field strength created by the voltage and gives its user an intermittent light and sound signal, reminding the user that voltage is approaching.
